EDG, our design and marketing communications business, has introduced us to many wonderful clients — people with great passions for the dreams they're pursuing as they grow a new idea, provide a new service, or create a new product. Projects from a diverse base of clients have taken us to many interesting places — both creatively and geographically.
Drawing on our years of exposure, experience and influences of design from a variety of disciplines, we've started on a journey to select and collect items that appeal to us.
It brings us great joy to search for work that meets our high standards of taste, craftsmanship, and originality. gallery8010 has a simple straight forward mission:
To share well-designed, artistic items we've found and fallen in love with to help you enhance your personal lifestyle and add joy to your everyday life.
Some of our featured items are found miles away, while others are found in our own backyard. The intentional variety of the ever-evolving collection we offer you as our visitor allows you to “think globally and live locally” — to create an intimacy with a piece you buy, no matter where it originates from. Some items stimulate and excite; others calm and soothe. All can engage and create a response and an experience, and when we make a connection like that, we take it and make it a permanent part of who we are and how we live.
It matters to us that we’re supporting artists, and certainly, there is a growing movement toward knowing about the source. The more we know about the sources that inspire us, the happier we are with our choices. Today, there is a greater emphasis on the individual than ever before, and as individuals, we want to express our personal style with what we buy, how we look, and the environments in which we spend our time. We want to replace the bland, plain vanilla of mass production with personalization and craftsmanship, and we do that through well-designed, one-of-a-kind creations.
It also matters that we know something about the personality behind those creations. We want to know more about the person who creates something that inspires us and teaches us something about design. Once we know that, it’s impossible not to become inspired and passionate ourselves by each unique story.
